When to delete pages

  • Clean up scans — drop blank backs of single-sided documents.
  • Remove sensitive pages — leave out pages you don’t want to share.
  • Trim size — remove covers, adverts or appendices before sending.

How it works

The pages you list are removed and every other page is copied, in its original order, into a new PDF. Because content is copied rather than re-rendered, the result looks exactly like the original.

What is a PDF file?

PDF (Portable Document Format) was created by Adobe and is now an open ISO standard (ISO 32000). A PDF fixes the exact layout of every page — fonts, images and positions — so a document looks the same on every screen and printer. That makes it the standard for contracts, invoices, manuals, papers and forms.

Inside, a PDF stores each page as drawing instructions. Text written by a program is stored as real characters (a “text layer”) and can be selected and extracted. Scanned documents usually store only a picture of each page, so their text cannot be extracted without OCR.

Frequently asked questions

Can I remove several separate pages at once?

Yes. List them separated by commas, and use ranges for consecutive pages, for example 1, 4, 10-12.

What if I select every page?

A PDF needs at least one page, so you will be asked to check the page numbers.

Does removing pages affect the remaining pages?

No. The remaining pages are copied unchanged, in their original order.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The PDF is edited entirely in your browser.
